AALI`s constant endeavor to promote women`s decision-making in private and public spheres has led to the design of 2 key interventions: 1. Network of survivors of violence at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh and Ranchi, Jharkhand 2. Women Leadership Community Initiative Programme at Azamgarh, Varanasi and Faizabad in Uttar Pradesh. The network is a platform for victim/survivors of violence to create a support system for each other and add to their journey of empowerment so that they may emerge as change-agents. The community initiative carries out comprehensive leadership and capacity building of rural women from marginalized communities, to educate them about their civil, political and socio-economic rights. The objective of women`s leadership development is to empower and enable oppressed and vulnerable women to enhance their position in society by recognizing and raising voices against oppression and by accessing justice. Both interventions include monthly meetings with 20-30 women at said locations, planning and executing activities like basic reading, writing, vocational skills, team building activities, workshops on health, well-being, financial management, local governance, legal rights, etc., preparation and sharing of related IEC Material in Hindi and English, etc. AALI extends these services free of cost to women and children. Cost per meeting is Rs. 10,000 and it includes: local travel, venue, refreshments, stationary, IEC material, resource person (as per requirement), other miscellaneous expenses etc.
